Being a geography affiliated member of the Ruscha group I was skeptical meet an artist I had just learned about. When we arrived to meet Ruscha his studio was really small yet open, like a small house almost. It was actually really interesting to see his work space with all of his tools he uses to create his art. He even had his dog Woody with him in the studio which I figured must be an artist thing because the couple in Winslow, Arizona also had dogs running through their gallery home as well. It made the studio seem more homey which was nice.
As we talked to Ruscha I began to like his personalty more and more. He was a pretty laid back guy that seemed to be very knowledgeable about a lot of different topics beside art. We spoke of the disaster in Moore and how he once lived in Oklahoma as well.
