Part of the Herd

While heading out to the Amarillo Ramp in Texas, the Road to Ruscha class came across a group of horses running our same trail in the dessert. The horses seemed to be intrigued by our visit and they must have belonged to a near by rancher because they were not particularly skittish with people but rather friendly. This scene was quite enjoyable on the trip because it was a different part of the environment we were able to interact with. Overall Amarillo had important gas stations as we followed Ruscha’s route, but we were also able to go off his course and see the other art forms and natural landscape of the town.
