This trip was filled with many eventful moments, what it was also filled with were many u-turns. If one day did not contain at least one u-turn, the day was not complete. Granted we were in new places constantly, so we couldn’t be exactly sure where we were at all times. A lot of these u-turns took place during our hunt for the gas stations. On one of our hunts, we passed by the same place three times, turns out, that was our destination. We just had to pass by it three times before we were sure. Even then we weren’t positive until we talked to the woman who lived there. This particular search happened before our adventure through the Mojave, but after our map hunting in the desert, this one search comes to mind. Relating back to the idea that something you are unsure of its appearance, has to be in a hard to reach spot. It’s hard to believe that it could be right there in front of you. Something of importance doesn’t always have to be hidden away, it could be right in front of you, just waiting for you to notice it.
